At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 22 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for:

Vacancy: Award Manager (also known as Grants Manager)
Based in: Hanoi

Main Responsibilities: To work with our Programme Development and Finance teams to submit high quality, well-costed proposals to donors as well as to make sure all our reporting to donors and award/grant management administration is of the highest quality and compliance. The job holder also supports the Country Director to identify and build relationships with external donors and within the global organization

Key Competencies:

Essential

  • Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a workload comprised of varying and changing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: patient, flexible, able to improvise and communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships at a distance, with culturally diverse stakeholders and colleagues throughout Asia and around the world
  • Experience in award/grant management and knowledge of major donors’ compliance requirements. For example: European Union (DEVCO and ECHO), World Bank, USAID, UNICEF.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Proven track record of contributing well to a senior management team.
  • Experience of staff management and team supervision.
  • Good attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Computer literate (i.e. Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, management information systems).
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills in English.
