Behavior Change Communication and Social Media Advisor

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Behavior Change Communication and Social Media Advisor is responsible for the design and implementation of health promotion initiatives ranging from national campaigns to local events.  All activities will be designed to increase knowledge and promote positive health behaviors and attitudes around HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness and community responsibility for health. S/he will coordinate the sub-contracting of all BCC, social marketing and social media activities. S/he will provide technical assistance in BCC/Social Media to project partners.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement Behaviour Change Communication and health mobilization strategy for the project using innovative social media strategies;
- Work closely with project partners to design context appropriate activities and messages commensurate with the literacy levels of target audience;
- Provide technical leadership in management of BCC and social media interventions, development of training curricula, and in materials design and development;
- Provide technical assistance to implementing partners in adopting and applying effective BCC strategies in their operations;
- Assist community groups to identify and implement innovative health promotion activities including community dramas, local radio programs, and other events and competitions;
- Provide technical guidance to partners on all behavior change communication issues in line with the developed strategies;
- Work with supervisor to develop annual work plan and work plan budgets for the BCC and social media components of the project;
- Prepare project reports on BCC to meet quarterly and annual requirements;
- Coordinate all BCC and social media training activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Social Scientist or Communication specialists with a Masters degree in communications with a minimum of five years experience in developing communication materials;
- Experience in a project settings and in community mobilization;
- At least 3 years experience in a conflict or post-conflict setting;
- Vietnamese and English language fluency;
- Demonstrated leadership working with other technical expert;
- Ability to work in diverse settings with public, private and NGO sectors;
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities;
- Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication skills; and
- Demonstrated capacity to oversee development/implementation of work plans, reports and presentation.
