SNV Vietnam is looking for a: Bookkeeper
Based in Hanoi with occasional travel to other provinces (National consultancy contract)

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation).

We are seeking for highly qualified candidate to provide daily bookkeeping tasks at the country office.

Responsibilities

- Record financial transactions in country ledger system and Maintain finance archive system
- Prepare payments for suppliers, consultants, staff of SNV Vietnam and also of the region unit in Hanoi
- Reconcile bank balances and manage liquidity levels of the country based on guidelines and financial procedures
- Coordinate activities and distribute work over the cashier
- Prepares documents for audit purpose

Candidate profile

- Vietnamese citizen
- University degree (Finance, Accounting or social science)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience at international organisations
- Initiative and creativity in solving problems; ability to work well under pressure
- Good organizing skills and communication skills ( English and Vietnamese)
- Good team spirit and enthusiasm
- Good computer skills in MS-applications (Word, Excel, Internet, Email

Contract Duration: SNV Vietnam offers a one-year associate consultancy contract with the possibility of extension and a competitive salary package.

Desired start date: ideally in May/June 2013
