SCOPE OF WORK

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT (part-time)

Background:

PSI Vietnam SBU currently operates 02 sales channels which are a network of private clinics nationwide to distribute Sun Medabon and several e-commerce platforms to distribute LA Cup Luneale. According to our SBU plan, there are more products to be distributed in Vietnam such as Benostan Clear Itch Cream, Phytolyfe Menoelle and Condom.

Position summary:      This position will work with local stakeholders including networks of wholesalers and sale agents to identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and drive business growth.

Work closely with:       PSI’s Program Manager

Contract period:          15/9/2024 – 31/3/2025 (up to 90 working days)

Gross daily rate:           Up to VND 1,500,000/day pending candidate’s qualifications.

Key responsibilities are as following:

  • Review condom market to identify growth opportunities and trends to develop a business case for Condom distribution in Vietnam.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical wholesalers and sales agent networks to sell SBU products through those channels and maximize profitability
  • Work closely with PSI’s Program Manager to develop sales strategies to boost sales
  • Together with SBU team to identify any potential opportunities for new products
  • Collect and use feedback to improve PSI’s products and services.

Expected deliverables include:

  • Complete a Business case for Condom sales in Vietnam by November 2024
  • Establish and build-up networks of wholesalers and sales agents nationwide (at least 03 wholesalers/agents in the North, South and Central of Vietnam) to distribute PSI products. This deliverable will be measured by number of established wholesaler partners and associated sale volume.

Selection criteria

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry.
  • Strong understanding of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in building and maintaining relationships with wholesalers and sales agents
  • Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with partners and stakeholders.
