INFORMATION ON IPP II

Innovation Partnership Program (IPP) is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program financed jointly by the Governments of Vietnam and Finland. IPP is in its second phase running through 2014 - 2018.

IPP supports Vietnam’s overall goal of becoming an industrialized middle-income knowledge economy by the year 2020. The program objective is to boost sustainable economic growth in Vietnam through the increased production and export of innovative products and services.

The program works closely with key national and international partners to scale up innovation training in Vietnam and improve local support mechanisms for new innovative companies targeting international markets. Besides providing seed funding and connections for the best teams in Vietnam, IPP builds the capacity of individuals through entrepreneurship and innovation training programs.

IPP is looking for qualified candidates for the following positions to start work in June 2015.

All the positions will be full-time and based in Hanoi.

1.Business Development Expert

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of support to growth companies’ innovation projects
    • Monitoring, information filing, reporting and evaluation of IPP company innovation projects
    • Business partner search in Vietnam
    • Support to companies business and marketing planning    
  • Co-working with the other IPP experts to support innovation projects
    • Case manager of the IPP awarded projects (1/3 of portfolio)
    • Liaison with the business supporting organisations in Vietnam
  • Other tasks such as participating in the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, annual work plans and budgets;
  • Carrying out other tasks requested by CTA and PD

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, S&T or other relevant field

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in the field of business development, partnership building and STI;
  • Experience in working with multi-helix stakeholders (enterprises, universities, research institutes and NGOs);
  • Experience in innovation funding and SME finance as well as in capacity building and training of multi-helix stakeholders an advantage;
  • Experience in inclusive innovation, and integrating climate and environmental aspects into project planning and implementation an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese.

2.Financial Assistant (Accountant)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day cash expenditure under the supervision of Financial Manager
  • Open and maintain cash books as instructed
  • Withdraw cash in VND from the project bank accounts for payment
  • Collect and pay in cash; make disbursements in cash or bank transfers
  • Update information on incomes and expenditures from accounting vouchers
  • Perform monthly cash checks or random check
  • Enter accounting transaction data into accounting software;
  • Prepare VAT and PIT declaration reports
  • Deal with the Social Insurance Agency for staff
  • Bookkeeping and transactions related tasks under supervision of Financial Manager

Education:

  • Degree in accounting financial management or relevant fields

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting or financial management;
  • Experience in the principles, guidelines and practices of the Vietnamese accounting regulations;
  • Experience in financial reporting;
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English

3.Office Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Support the management on project’s documents filing and petty cash
    • Filing management decisions, work and performance reports
    • Maintenance and backup of project data
  • Communication support (English – Vietnamese – English)
    • In charge of translation services quality control
    • Translation of project daily documents
    • Support  meetings 
  • Office support
    • Office maintenance
    • Staff logistic arrangements
    • Supporting planning and delivering of  logistics in IPP2 events and meetings
    • Preparing and follow-up of contracts on logistics and related services
  • Other tasks such as participating in the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, annual work plans and budgets

Education:

  • University degree

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management supporting tasks
  • Good knowledge in the principles and practices of the public sector organisations 
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English
