Business Development Supporter - Local Capacity Builder (LCB) for Inclusive Business Accelerator, based in Hanoi, Vietnam

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalysing sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+.

SNV’s Inclusive Business Accelerator Program is the first one-stop shop in Vietnam for various services needed by businesses which include low-income groups in their operations. We use innovative acceleration models to make the businesses investor-ready. Our scope of services including: Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification, Business Design & Readiness, Investor – Investee Match making, Impact Measurements & Scalability. 

SNV is now seeking for a LCB who will assist in the implementation of the Inclusive Business Accelerator Program, under the responsibility of the Program Manager based in Hanoi.

1.Background

The Business Development Supporter will assist the team on the contracts/clients development and networking that aims to contribute to the improvement of Inclusive Business Accelerator Program management

2.Objectives and Tasks

• Support the Inclusive Business Accelerator team in fulfilling its tasks and workload in effective and timely manner.
• Support in proof reading (logic, grammar, dictation), screening the project proposals from Consultants
• Support in developing business opportunities for IBA
• Support businesses in collecting information in English to upload to IBA ventures
• Assist in searching innovative business ideas that involve low income people
• Support in translation, material development for trainings and events
• Assist in monitoring and evaluation for project’s activities
• Assist in data collection and knowledge management
• Support in reports development
• Assist in key events organization
• Assist in website news development

3.Expected outputs

• Well-screened Proposals and contracts
• Updated online information to BoP
• First final draft of reports to Board members and BoP
• Well organised contracts/clients system

4.Time planning

The LCB will work for a total number of 90 days commencing 9th April 2015.

5.Fee and logistic arrangements

Fees will be paid according to the SNV guidelines based on qualification and experience.
