CALLING FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

IN SELECTED AREAS OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Background

Chemonics International, a US-based international development consulting firm. To successfully implement its projects Chemonics respects and mobilizes local knowledge and expertise related to the project objectives.

Chemonics currently seeks expressions of interest from qualified Vietnamese technical experts to assist with a variety of tasks related to Higher Education in Vietnam.

Objective

Chemonics is developing a roster of Vietnamese specialist consultants in the following six areas of higher education:

  • Higher education governance
  • Higher education finance
  • Academic quality management
  • Research and innovation capacity:
  • Digital transformation (DX) in higher education
  • Women’s advancement in higher education

Detailed competencies for each area are provided in the below Annex 1

Qualifications of applicants

  • A specialist in the area s/he applies for with a minimum of five working years’ experience.
  • Capable of designing and implementing practical solutions for the problems faced by Vietnamese higher education institutions.
  • Experience designing and implementing capacity development activities appropriate to the conditions of Vietnamese higher education institutions.
  • Master’s Degree required. Ph.D. or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
  • Fluent speaking and listening in both Vietnamese and English
  • Vietnamese citizen residing in Vietnam.
