Call for proposal: Rinderpest Communication for livestock farmers in Viet Nam.

FAO Viet Nam is looking for a service provider with experience in animal health communication, public awareness, research and survey in Viet Nam to conduct a need assessment and develop a communication strategy on Rinderpest for livestock farmers in Viet Nam.

Objective
To provide insights on farmers/livestock keepers knowledge about rinderpest, their communication preferences and how they liaise with animal health authorities in the event of an emergency.
To raise awareness of livestock farmers and relevant stakeholders in Viet Nam on rinderpest.

Duration: November 2019 – March 2020

Tentative location for need assessment

• Ha Giang and Bac Giang provinces: for small and medium-scale buffalo farmers
• Quang Nam province: for medium-scale cow farmers
• Ben Tre and Daklak provinces: for small and medium-scale cow farmers
