POSITION:               Cashier (Voucher Examiner) - (Temporary – Not to exceed 12 months)

OPEN PERIOD:         October 18 – November 1, 2024

WORK HOURS:         Full-time, 40 hours/week.

STARTING BASIC SALARY:     US $14,118/year

ALLOWANCE AND BENEFITS: Annual salary increase, local social security system, other allowance, and benefits.

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

The incumbent will serve as the Voucher Examiner.  The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the overall control for all account receivables, updating vendor code, performing technical audit functions to examine the vouchering packages, and serving as Post Support Unit Point of Contact, backing-up absent voucher examiners and performing other duties as assigned. They include but are not limited to major contracts, service agreements, Bulk Purchase Agreement, and complicated medical bills.

The incumbent will serve as the Financial Assistant and Customer Service Representative for the Financial Management Center.  These will include managing day-to- day office operations, overseeing office document scanning program, and update the FMC Share Point site on the Embassy intranet; coordinate IT needs for office staff in the following systems: Regional Financial Management System, Global Business Intelligence, E2 Travel, Integrated Logistics Management System, my Services; completes general clerical work. The incumbent will serve as the first point of contact for customers, vendors, and other partners including the U.S. Disbursing Officer (DO) Bank and the CGFS. The incumbent will serve as back up for the Main Timekeeper and Payroll Liaison with CGFS Bangkok and Charleston on all payroll issues of the Locally Employed Staff and US Direct hire employees in the Mission. This includes for preparation of Time & Attendance (T&A) reports for transmission to GFS Bangkok and Charleston.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:     Completion of Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management is required.

Experience:    At least three (3) years' experience in cashiering, accounting, bookkeeping, voucher examining, or related financial field.

Languages:  

Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)

Fluent in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
