Chief Accountant

REACH is a Vietnamese non-profit organization that provides vocational training services to poor and disadvantaged youth.  

REACH applies innovative, practical and effective training model that are suitable with disadvantaged youth and meets the requirements of the labor market.

Established in 2008, REACH formerly known as the Livelihood Advancement Business School (LABS) project supported by Plan in Vietnam.

We are implementing training courses in 6 centers in Vietnam. Since 2004, we have trained over 9,000 disadvantaged youth. In 2012 REACH has trained over 1,600 students, in which over 80% of students get jobs within 6 months after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen a financial system that applies throughout REACH and that meets the needs of REACH’s management, its audit requirements and Vietnamese law.
• Ensure that all REACH’s accounts are up to date, transparent, and are made available on time to those managers and donors that are due to receive them
• Provide financial information to REACH’s managers that will help them understand and manage their parts of the operation effectively.
• Provide financial information that donors may reasonably request, help to maintain good relations with them and assist when needed in the process of getting further financial support.
• Join REACH’s management team to help it plan and develop its operations.
• Reviewing and maintaining sound accounting procedures
• Managing the  Finance departments in each region in conjunction with the Regional manager
• Preparing financial reports required by REACH that meet the agreed purpose and on time.
• Preparing and presenting financial reports to donors and other supporters when needed.
• Assisting with and coordinating budgets
• Making necessary preparations for audit and working with the audit team when required

Requirements:

• At least 5 years in Finance and Accounting management
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or related field
• Prior experience working with a non-profit organization is a plus
• Must be self-directed and effective in working independently
• Good quality written and oral English is an asset
