BACKGROUND

The Center for Community Health Research and Development (CCRD) is a Vietnamese not-for-profit non-Government organization specialized in health research and interventions. The organization is in the process of preparing technical proposal to response to the call for application from USAID Vietnam which aims to:“Strengthen in-country Strategic information Capacity for Sustainable HIV Response” in Vietnam.

CCRD is looking for an international candidate qualified for the position of Chief of Party (COP) to undertake the overall management role of the project, if funded.

SCOPE OF WORK: Key responsibilities include:

• Provide overall leadership, management and technical direction to the project team
• Collaboratively create and implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision
• Responsible for managing and supervising all project activities, staff, and partners from the central level to provincial level, and have overall responsibility for the successful performance of the project.
• Ensure quality control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the Agreement, including necessary adjustments to operations to fit the requirements of USAID.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of ten years professional experience in HIV/AIDS prevention and control in developing countries, and at least five years of program/project management experience. Previous experience in working with USAID funded program is preferable
• Knowledgeable of HIV/AIDS strategic information and experience in working effectively with civil society, local, regional and central-level government authorities or other development partners
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in management, international development and/or health, epidemiology, or a related field of study
• Strong communication skills and excellent English language ability to fulfill the diverse technical and managerial requirements of the program and to effectively coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders in Vietnam and in the region.
