Vacancy: Child Right Governance Project Officer (Based in Ho Chi Minh city)

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Child Right Governance Project Officer to work for our Child Right Governance Project. The successful candidate will be based in Ho Chi Minh City with travels to project sites.

Main Responsibilities

This position is responsible to oversee, monitor and provide technical support to local partner sub-agreement management and implementation of activities in Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang Province for vulnerable children and youth, particularly on street children and youth. The Project Officer will provide technical assistance to the local partner staff, Street Educators and Peer Educators in Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang Province to ensure that programming meets intended targets and results. The Project Officer will also adapt and apply Save the Children evaluation guidelines to the project in Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang, and assist to operation of CSOs network, and other related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Key Competencies:

Essential:
• BA/MA Degree (preferably at post-graduate level) in a relevant discipline, e.g., social sciences, social work, public health.
• Experience in monitoring and building capacity of local partner sub-agreement work-plan implementation and budget expenditures.
• Proven capacity to build and maintain effective partnerships with provincial and local partners.
• At least 02 years experience implementing and monitoring programming for most-at-risks persons, preferably street youth, and LGBT street children/youth.
• Familiarity with peer approach/education, social work case management and counseling.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values
