Child Rights Situation Analysis Consultant

Adoptionscentrum, Sweden (ACS) is a child-right organization. We believe that all children have a right to a family and work towards that goal. All kind of activities within our organization contribute to achieving that common goal. Since 2009, Adoptionscentrum, Sweden was approved to become the program management organization. In 2010, ACS started a development cooperation program that will go on for three years. It consisted of 24 different projects in 13 countries, including 7 projects in Vietnam. Our purpose of working within the program is to increase the number of children without adequate family care or at risk of being abandoned to have their right´s fulfilled and to link together experiences and results of the efforts of organizations in different countries and parts of the world. And the participation of partners with different global experiences and competence areas provide for a synergic effect and raise the chances for success for the whole program. A similar program is planned for 2014-2016.

The Adotionscentrum’s global partnership programming for children has four key focuses:

- Preventing family separation
- Promoting family focused alternative care and community care
- Promoting change and transformation of institutional care
- Preparation for independent life after the institution for young care-leavers

Funds for global program of ACS are part of the cooperation between Sida and Forum Syd and based on the present funding agreement between Forum Syd and ACS.

In order to identify and formulate new project proposals in Vietnam within our new program in relation to child’s rights of children without parental care or at high risk of being abandoned, Adoptionscentrum- Sweden is looking for consultant(s) to conduct a Child’s Rights Situation Analysis with our 10 local partners in the north, central and southern provinces of Vietnam, including: WUs in provinces of Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh,Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thua Thien Hue, Soc Trang and ASVHO central office in Hanoi.
