Commercialization Officer

Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is a non-government organization registered under Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) and working in the field of public health. We are seeking for potential candidate for the position of commercialization officer, who will work for a project on HIV prevention, mainly on commodities distribution and grant management.

Expected starting time: As soon as possible
Contract term: 12 month and possible for expansion

Job description

  • Support grant management and milestone (technical) monitoring to grant awards for private sector in HIV-related goods and services supply (4 grantees of the enterprise award, and 7 grantees of the start-up seed funding award);
  • Identify and address challenges in production, sales, distribution and quality of condoms and other HIV related goods in the market;
  • Liaison and leverage the partnership between local manufacturers, commercial distributors and community-based organizations (CBO) for the supply and distribution of condoms, lubricants and low dead space syringe (LDSS) to the local market;
  • Provide technical support to CBOs to expand the distribution network, sale and distribute condoms, lubricants and LDSS;
  • Point person in working with local manufacturers, distributors, CBOs/social enterprises to track and monitor the supply and distribution of condoms, lubricants and LDSS;
  • Oversee work of partners and sub-contractors to engage on variety of commercialization and supply chain oriented activities;
  • Provide inputs for CCIHP project team in designing and implementing relevant research and monitoring activities with private sector and CBOs.
  • Participate in CCIHP common events, meetings and tasks for staffs as required.
  • The recruited officer will work under guidance and supervision of project team lead on commodity distribution and commercialization from funding partner, and CCIHP project coordinator. The recruited officer will be mainly based in office of the funding partner (32 working hours per week) and will back to CCIHP office for meetings, briefing and staff events (8 working hours per week).

Qualification

  • Experiences in HIV-related commodities and services social marketing and supply chain 
  • Experiences in working with CBOs and key population (men who have sex with men, transgender women, female sex workers, people who inject drug and sexual partners of those people)
  • Undergraduate background on marketing or commerce is preferred
