Communication Officer

Asian Youth and Culture Council (trade name Ethno Connect Vietnam) is a new NGO in Vietnam established to promote cultural diversity and provide media service to not for profit and grassroot community organisations. From its establishment in Sydney, Australia 2008, the organisation has been empowering marginalised communities and their service agencies by providing media service and consultancy based on the expertise built in cross-cultural communication. The organisation has recently commenced its operation in Vietnam and is currently seeking a new staff who will be a driving force in establishing the service and reaching out to diverse local communities in Vietnam.

Employment type: Part time/ 20 hours per week

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hanoi

Reporting to: Co-ordinator

Major duties

  • Production of educational videos in collaboration with a team
  • Website update and maintenance
  • Identifying funding opportunities
  • Administrative support
  • Attending interagency and other networking meetings
  • Attending by weekly meeting with supervisor
  • Any other duties as reasonable requested by supervisors which are in line with organizational priorities

Qualification & requirements

  • Videography and editing skills
  • Track record of producing creative works (links to sample work required)
  • Basic command of English language
  • Interest in human right, social justice or development work
  • Ability to work unsupervised
