Communications and Advocacy Officer Recruitment

The Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is a non-governmental organization with more than 20 years of experience working mainly in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, gender-based violence, and HIV prevention (For more information please visit: http://ccihp.org). With the support from the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Hanoi, CCIHP is implementing the project “Adaptive leadership for universal access to sexual and reproductive health care and information for Vietnamese young people” for the period of 2019 – 2020. The project aims at strengthening the leading role and meaningful participation of youths from vulnerable and minority groups in advocacy for sustainable changes in national programs and policies on sexual and reproductive rights of young people in Viet Nam. CCIHP is looking for a Communications and Advocacy Officer to join the team.

1. Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public health, social science or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the fields of sexual and reproductive health and rights, and/or gender equality with familiarity to vulnerable and minority groups.
  • Fluent English in all Writing, Listening, Speaking and Reading.
  • Able to work independently as well as teamwork, with good communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Desire to join social and educational activities on comprehensive sexual education.

2. Responsibilities

  • Planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting relevant activities on communications and advocacy within the project framework.
  • Monitoring and supporting youth groups to accomplish the development and implementation of youth-led initiatives.
  • Working closely with project coordinator on developing annual plans, implementation, monitoring, and reporting project activities.
  • Communicating project activities on CCIHP’s channels.

3. Location: Hanoi, with regular travel to project sites

4. Duration: Full-time from March to December 2020
