RECRUITMENT FOR COMMUNITY CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICERS
Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has works in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.
Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, and Thanh Hoa. GNI in Vietnam sponsors about 10,000 children and implements community development projects (CDP) in education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 6 different areas of Vietnam.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Country Director, Managing Director, General Manager, OD Junior Manager, CCD Team Leader/Officer, AD-FD Junior Manager/ Officers, Project Manager, Project Officers.
External: Communities
2. MAIN DUTIES
- Be in charge of activities in education field
- Collaborate with schools and Community Development Committee (CDC) to draw up detailed plan for project activities in terms of background survey, facilities conditions of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools; design the program content and prepare proposals to submit to authorized levels for approval;
- Coordinate with schools and CDC in organizing, implementing and monitoring the activities related to support facilities, construction and other supporting activities of capacity building for students, teachers and community.
- Be in charge of activities relate to water & sanitation and health fields.
- Carry out survey and assessment on the status of domestic water use, environmental sanitation and health issues at the project area;
- Coordinate with CDC in designing, preparing proposal and implementing the project activities.
- Implement other assigned tasks as requested
- Participate in making Annual Plan of Action (POA);
- Make periodical and extraordinary reports timely, completely and accurately as the request of managers;
- Contact with partners and local authorities to handle the current tasks, such as District and Communal People's Committee;
- Regularly check and monitor project progress, ensure the project is completed as scheduled;
- Coordinate with staff of other related divisions to handle the work according to the order and procedures prescribed;
- Obey the rules, regulations of the organization and efforts to strengthen internal solidarity;
- Propose ideas to improve the quality of project;
- Perform other tasks as required by line managers.
3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education:
- University degree in Education, Construction, Environmental sanitation, and other related fields. Work experience:
- At least 1-year relevant working experience.
- Have experience in study, collecting and analysing data.
- Be experienced in conducting research, analysis
- Experience and skills of project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and partnership;
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and with the team;
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
- Good skill in computer use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
- Basic English skill.
Attitude:
- Sociable, responsive, committed working with GNI at least 1 year
- Friendly, honestly and hard working
