Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in over 49 countries.
Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city. We focus on education, water & sanitation, and income generation sectors in different areas of Vietnam.

2. MAIN DUTIES
|
1. Main duties
- Participate in and support field offices (FO) in making the annual plan of action (POA) of GNI in the sector of clean water, sanitation and environment.
- Keep track with, monitor and support FO in implementing activities and projects planned in the POA.
- Evaluate CDP Performance annually in the sector of water & sanitation, and environment.
- Design and develop grant fund proposals related to the theme of environment, water & sanitation sector, including but not limited to environmental protection, environmental education, clean water supply and effective clean water use. Ideas on climate change mitigation and adaptation are highly encouraged.
- Coordinate and develop the Environmental Education program.
- Implement other grant fund projects if the proposals are granted.
2. General task
- Participate in making strategies of GNI and CHE Team in accordance with GNI’s strategies
- Establish and maintain good relationships with partners, community and donors.
- Provide technical guidance to partners if needed to ensure the smooth and effectiveness of project implementation.
- Conduct regularly or as requested – field trips to monitor project’s activities that he/she is in charge.
- Coordinate with staff of other related teams to handle his/her tasks.
3. Other Task
- Participate in other GNI activities such as meetings, annual staff conferences, etc.
- Abide by the organization’s regulations and foster the organization’s solidarity.
- Actively develop initiatives to enhance the work quality and productivity of project activities.
- Consult and assist the CHE team manager in necessary cases.
- Perform other tasks assigned by managerial levels.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
|
Education
University degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Sustainable Development or other related fields. Having a master’s degree is an advantage.

Work experience
- Having experience in the field of environmental protection campaigns, environmental educational activities, clean water. Experience of climate actions is an advantage.
- Having experience of content writing, design, in-desk tasks (preparing documents, archives to external partners; filling financial documents).
- Having experience in project coordination and NGO working environment is preferable

Skills
- Ability to work independently and work with the team.
- Ability to make plans and manage the timeline of the project.
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills.
- Basic English language skills in writing & speaking.
- Good skills of project management tools (Google package, Microsoft package)
- Basic using skills in Canvas, the availability of using other professional design tools is an advantage.
