Consultancy to Develop Training Materials and Give Lecture at Training Course on Capacity Building for Theatre Directors and Actors on Domestic Violence Prevention

In the framework of the Communication project to promote the implementation of Law on Domestic Violence Prevention sponsored by Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), MoCST is organizing  a two-day training course on dramatizing relevant contents on domestic violence prevention (DVP) for theatre directors and actors of Southern provinces’ mobile information teams. This Mobile teams are units of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism performing the propaganda task for the state’s policies and laws to be delivered to communities. The various communication forms utilized include singing, dancing and theatre performances to express contents of policies and laws in an interactive and easy way.

Objective:

This consultancy is aimed to contribute to a more effective understanding and knowledge on healthy intra-family relationships and Domestic Violence prevention at local level by improving the knowledge and skills of the Mobile information teams of MoCST who are in charge of the communication/ awareness raising on gender / DVP in the provinces.

Consultant’s requirements

To develop this activity, 2 consultants are needed. The first one is a specialist on Gender issues and DVP with relevant work experience/ knowledge on Vietnamese laws and policies regarding gender issues, DVP and Family. The second one is a specialist on theatre and theatre performance highly experienced in theater direction, training and acting with deep knowledge in Vietnamese traditional theater, Mise en Scene, Theater make up and ligthing, The two consultants will closely work together to develop adequate training materials/ methodology to carry out a two day workshop combining gender issues and relevant contents on DVP and theatre/ performance skills for trainees in Ho Chi Minh city.
