Consultancy: Providing mental health and psychology counselling to children in HCMC

Under the framework of the project Technical Assistance Project on Capacity Building for Prevention and Reduction of Child Labor in Vietnam (ENHANCE), funded from the US Department of Labour, since 2015, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has been in cooperation with Ministry of Labour Invalid and Social Affair (MOLISA) to carrying out activities in three interconnected components: capacity building, awareness raising and direct intervention in three provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and An Giang province. To better achieve the set goal, the project is going to support children and their families to overcome economic and medical shocks and stabilize their lives after COVID-19.

Based on the initial results of the survey on the needs of children affected by COVID-19 in HCMC, the ENHANCE project is going to support those children in need of psychological in three districts of An Phu, Tan Binh, and Binh Tan overcome with mental health and psychological problem to improve their life. To do this the ILO/ENHANCE project is seeking a of qualified consultant specialized in psychology to provide mental health counselling to a list of identified children and their parents/caregivers in three project districts including Tan Phu, Tan Binh, and Binh Tan.

The overall objective of this assignment is to help children overcome the impact of mental health and psychological disorders resulting from COVID-19. On the basis of these interventions, recommendations can be made for interventions and support for affected children that can be used later by localities.
