Consultancy Service in Save the Children in Buhtan

We are looking for a Vietnamese or international individual for Consultancy Service in Save the Children in Buhtan, with following information:

Main Responsibilities:

The consultant will work very closely with the ECCD & SEN Division of the Ministry of Education, and Save the Children Bhutan Country Office. She/he will use a consultative process, involving experts from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and National Commission for Women and Children, given the highly technical nature of aspects of the task to develop the following:

1.    Learning and Development Standards for children birth to 36 months (drawing from the standards already developed in the context of the Care for Child Development Plus pilot project for 0-3 year-old children initiated by the Ministry of Health). The development of the learning and development standards for children under three years of age will include the following components:

  • Contextual relevance
  • Overall well-being of children under three years of age including early stimulation, health and nutrition, and safety and protection

2.    Curriculum/Training Module for Caregivers working in center-based program for children birth to three years of age (drawing from the existing Training Module for Crèche Caregivers). The development of the learning and development standards for children under three years of age will include the following components:

  • Contextual relevance
  • Overall well-being of children under three years of age including early stimulation, health and nutrition, and safety and protection
  • The training module will be appropriate for caregivers/facilitators with a grade 12 qualification
  • The daily program will include a full-day/half-day routine

Requirement for bidding:

The consultant will provide a proposal with methodology for completing the assignment, a complete work plan, evidence of past work experiences in a similar field, and other requirements as per the proposal form template that is attached. All potential consultants will be required to submit their proposal in the mandatory template. Proposal submitted in other formats will be rejected. The selection of the consultant will be based on the methodology outlined in the proposal and her/his technical capability, and not necessarily to the lowest bidder.
