Consultancy Team for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

CODESPA is a non-profit organization, working in Vietnam since 1999, and focused on rural development for poverty reduction and environmental sustainability. CODESPA´s approach to fighting poverty is helping low-income communities to develop local markets under a value chain approach. CODESPA has been recognized worldwide as a highly effective NGO specialized in the field of economic development using market creation, capacity development and microfinance as key tools in the fight against poverty.

Nowadays CODESPA is conducting 3 development programs, towards 1) the development of the sanitation market, 2) the strengthening of the pig value chain, and 3) the development of the compacted fertilizers market to reduce the powdered agrochemicals application within the rice cropping.

In the frame of these programs, CODESPA is recruiting a consultancy team to conduct an environmental impact assessment (EIA), in order to research the environmental benefits derived from the behavioral change of the targeted households in each program. The EIA team is required to have previous experience in EIA and strong working experience in Vietnam rural communities, with an understanding about the public programs and environmental policies, and local culture and beliefs.
