Consultant

CARE International in Vietnam is a Non-Governmental Organisation representing the CARE International network in Vietnam since 1989. CARE in Vietnam contributes to the global effort on eliminating poverty and hunger, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized groups. In Vietnam, to achieve this, we work with Vietnamese partners across sectors such as health services, rural livelihood development, disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.

In order to support vulnerable communities in the Mekong Delta Region (MDR) adapt to the emerging climate change effects and improve their climate resilience, CARE Vietnam is implementing the AusAID-funded Integrated Community-based Adaptation in the Mekong (ICAM) Project in five communes of An Phu district - An Giang province, and Vinh Chau district - Soc Trang province, from August 2012 until December 2014.

The ICAM Project is seeking to recruit a team of a national and international consultant (here in after called the Consultant) for an action research on climate resilient livelihoods. The research is building further on previous assessments done under the project that produced a tentative list of livelihood options for potential support. The research will provide strong grounding for appropriate and effective project support to climate resilient agriculture and non-agriculture livelihoods.
