Consultant to Conduct Evaluation of Changes in the Process of Carbon Accumulation in the Mangrove Forest Area

ActionAid started working in Vietnam since 1989, established its Representative Office in Hanoi in 1992. Since then, ActionAid Vietnam (AAV) has been focusing the work to end poverty and promote sustainable development in over 20 provinces in mountainous, remote, and difficult regions as well as poor urban areas across Vietnam. The organization is well recognized as one of the leading INGOs significantly contributed to the poverty reduction and community empowerment in Vietnam.

Aid for social protection program Foundation Vietnam (hereinafter referred as AFV) was established under the Law of the Social Republic of Vietnam according to the Decision No. 633/QD-BNV dated 11 April 2016. The Foundation is recognized by the Ministry of Home Affairs that the Foundation is eligible for operation and members of Board of Trustees according to the Decision No. 1729/QD-BNV dated 4 July 2016. AFV is a strategic partner of AAV.

The project ‘Enhancing resilience of coastal communities in Mekong Delta, Vietnam’ is being implemented by AFV in coastal mangrove forest communities in Vinh Chau district of Soc Trang province in 3 years (2021-2024).

The project is looking for a consultant to conduct evaluation of changes in the process of carbon accumulation in the mangrove forest area in 3 project communes for assessing the effectiveness of mangrove forest protection as details in TOR attached.
