Consultant to conduct training on protection of children in emergency for community board member, community counseling collaborators and chairwomen of women's sub-associations

RECRUITMENT OF ONE CONSULTANT TO CONDUCT TRAINING ON PROTECTION OF CHILDREN IN EMERGENCY
FOR COMMUNITY BOARD MEMBERS, COMMUNITY COUNSELING COLLABORATORS
AND CHAIRWOMEN OF WOMEN’S SUB-ASSOCIATIONS

I.       PROJECT INFORMATION

Ho Chi Minh City Child Association (HCWA) and Save the Children International in Vietnam (SCI) are implementing the project "Supporting youth and children in response to COVID-19" funded by the European Union (abbreviated: project EU_CYC). The project aims that civil society organizations (CSOs) in Ho Chi Minh City (SOs) can address the challenges engendered by the COVID-19 pandemic and extend their support to migrant adolescents and children, especially those who are gender-vulnerable (such as girls, non-binary groups) so that they can access social protection services and decent work. The project also focuses on strengthening the capacity of CSOs in Ho Chi Minh City to effectively contribute to the COVID-19 response of governments at all levels and support of the hardest hit children and teenagers.

Within the framework of the project, in order to improve the effectiveness of child protection, the EU_CYC Project Management Board is recruiting one consultant to conduct 8 training sessions (1/2 day per each session) on "Child protection in case of emergency" for community board members, community counseling collaborators and chairwomen of women’s sub-associations in the project areas.

II.       OBJECTIVES

Participants of the training sessions improve their knowledge and skills on

  • Current legal policies related to the protection and care of children in Ho Chi Minh City;
  • How to support children when they encounter real cases;
  • The network to support children in Ho Chi Minh City.

III.    SCOPE OF WORK

The consultant is expected to to conduct 8 training sessions (1/2 day per each session) on the contents as mentioned in section II in May and June 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City (see the file attached).
