Consultant of Construction Guide Adaption for Labour Inspection

For many years, the ILO has been providing technical assistance via various technical cooperation projects to strengthen the capacity of the Labour Inspectorate of Viet Nam, including the development of several inspection tools for labour inspectors. In the context of labour inspection modernization, the ILO would like to support the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to develop a comprehensive guidance for labour inspectors in conducting inspection visits in the construction sector. Based on the ILO’s tool entitled “Conducting Labour Inspections on Construction – A guide for labour inspectors”, and based on the actual context of Vietnam, ILO seeks to engage a consultant to review and adapt the mentioned Guidebook for labour inspectors according to the national legislation and practices. The Guide will later be used for decentralized inspection visits with the support from the ILO’s New Industrial Relations Framework (NIRF) Programme. It is also expected to contribute to the improvement of industrial relations at the construction sector via enhancing the capability of labour inspectors in enhancing the compliance in this sector.
