Consultant to Develop Software to Collect and Manage Data

The Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is a local non-government organization in Hanoi which is registered under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Association (VUSTA), work in fields of Public Health and Social Science (more detail: http://ccihp.org). CCIHP is currently looking for an IT/ Health Informatics consultant for the research component: “Lay provider and self-testing of HIV to enhance 90-90-90 in Vietnam: A pilot to determine feasibility, acceptability and sustainability of models” in the Healthy Market Activities Project.

1. Job information

• An IT/ Health Informatics Consultant must consult & design the data collecting, managing software or a computer program for research tools (such as: questionnaires, checklists,…) which can be used in computers (PC/laptop), tablets and smartphones.
• Design data management software which is compatible with online or offline survey tools such as: Survey Monkey, Open Data Kit or CSPro...
• Test and make sure the software works well on the research tools.
• Training – guiding how to install, creating forms and administrating the software.
• Support to fix the problems that arise when using the software within the first 3 months.

2. Requirements and Key areas of Responsibility

• Minimum of Bachelor Degree in relevant fields of IT, computer science, health informatics in public health.
• Having experience in designing and using the data management and collecting software/ database in the field of Medical – Social Science.
• Excellent in using the software/ database to collect and manage data in research (Survey Monkey, CSPro and ODK...)
• Having experience of training and guidance to researchers and research associates to use the software in fieldwork (communities) is preferred.

3. Working time

• Start as soon as possible
• Part-time job, maximum: 15 days include training and support to use the software.
