Consultant to Support CONNECT for Social Health Protection

Recruitment of an individual consultant to support CONNECT for Social Health Protection - ILO – Luxembourg Project

Connect for Social Health Protection (CONNECT), a pioneering multi-stakeholder network of public and private institutions and non-for-profit organizations in the Asia Pacific region, has been established to bridge the gaps in social health protection, by providing a common platform to address challenges and hurdles, answer questions and discuss the way forward for the Asia Pacific region.  Its objective is to support countries in their quest to develop and implement strong, sustainable and comprehensive policies, strategies and systems for Social Health Protection, as a contribution to the achievement of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

CONNECT is led by its steering committee, composed of member institutions from South Korea, Thailand, Viet Nam and the ILO. Through their broad expertise, experience and complementing mandates, the steering committee members have collaboratively shaped CONNECT’s mandate, governance and branding. Members have diverse but complementing mandates and believe that sharing knowledge and technical know-how, facilitating capacity building exercises, and promoting collaborative research opportunities are all key to strengthening Social Health Protection systems.

The International Labor Organization (ILO) is looking for the support of an international expert to support the CONNECT secretariat for the delivery of specific coordination and promotion products, and support membership extension efforts.

The objective of the consultancy is to support the secretariat of CONNECT in conducting specific tasks so to ensure its smooth operation.
