Consultant Team for Project Documentation and Project Final Evaluation

Founded in the United Kingdom in 1972, ActionAid (AAI) is a unique international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice.

ActionAid's head office is in Johannesburg. ActionAid is the only large international development organisation with head office based in Africa, with offices in Asia and the Americas connecting ActionAid's work in Europe.

ActionAid started working in Vietnam since 1989, established its Representative Office in Hanoi in 1992. Since then, it has been focusing the work to end poverty and promote sustainable development in mountainous, remote and difficult regions as well as poor urban areas across Vietnam. ActionAid works in partnership with local partners in different provinces in implementing development programmes  and applies Human Rights Based Approach to all of its works.

Since 2005, ActionAid has started its 8th Local Rights Program in Thong Nong District, Cao Bang Province (LRP8) in order to implement AAV's long-term development programs in the areas.  In 2011, in cooperation with Benoy Foundation, AAV and LRP8 started the project "Promoting youth participation in poverty reduction & disaster preparation" in parallel with other activities under 5 program priorities of the organization. This project has been working to improve the lives of ethnic minority communities living in Thong Nong district – an area where the high number of natural disasters pushes people back into poverty every  year. It helps harness  the  power  of  young  people  and  youth  groups  to  become  agents  of  change  within  their communities. Youth participates in developing sustainable livelihood models,and have been involved in small-scale infrastructure projects and trained to respond when a natural disaster hit.

Under the framework of this project, AAV is looking for qualified teams of consultants to deliver two following packages together:

- Project Documentation; and

- Project Final Evaluation.
