Save the Children is seeking for an individual consultant training on (basic to intermediate) photo-taking and filming skills for child-led groups (students aged 12 to 14) in Lao Cai city. Details as below:

1.       Services the supplier will provide

• Training for child-led groups (students aged 12 to 14):

The consultant will provide photo-taking and filming training for the students so that they can:

• Know how to use and maintain their camera in good condition;
• Learn basic to intermediate photo-taking skills (camera angles, programs used in a camera (automatic mode, night mode, portrait mode, etc.), light adjustment, etc.)
• Improve their knowledge on photo sizes, photo arrangements and principles of photography;
• Have knowledge to handle possible risks related to photo taking (e.g. taking photos in conditions of bad weather, bad lighting, etc.)
• Learn basic filming skills (camera angles, shot composition) so that they can take video footage of program activities
• Have a session where the students can practice skills and knowledge learned from the training
• Introduce how to build a basic video script and collect suitable materials to produce a simple but qualified video
• Documenting photo practice session for child-led photos

2.       Experience and skill set required

The consultant should:

• University graduate in related fields;
• Have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in photography and filming;
• Have demonstrated experience in developing simple video-based content;
• Have demonstrated experience in provide training on photography, filming and video content development;
• Preferably have experience in providing similar trainings in country and NGO context;
• Preferably have experience working with children;
• Be able to follow work schedule.
