Consultant(s) to Design Save the Children’s Promotional Package for the Year 2021

Save the Children started our work in Vietnam in 1990, and implements programs in the key thematic areas: Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection, Child Rights and Governance, Child Poverty, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Emergency Response. At present, Vietnam Country Office has programs in 20 out of 63 provinces in Vietnam.

1. Task description

The promotional package includes the following items:

Waterproof inner layer. Bag with zipper.

The consultant/agency is expected to work closely with Communication department of SC carry out the tasks as follows:

  • Develop the art direction for the promotional package
  • Design the items
  • Advise SC on the production materials for each item – paper, fabric, etc.

2. Theme & branding requirements

The overall theme of the package, content & photos on all items will be provided by SC.

The theme for package is ‘Hope’ / ‘A new normal for all children’. The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has put an entire generation of children at risk. Measures that have been implemented to contain the spread of the virus, including nationwide lockdowns and school closures, have caused many disruptions to children’s lives. This, coupled with the wider social and economic impact of the pandemic, will have a significant impact on children’s right to survive, learn and be protected. Save the Children is working non-stop to best protect children's rights in emergencies with the spirit “leaving no one behind” and ensure every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation while our world moving towards to a new normal.

The consultant must comply with Save the Children’s Policies such as Safeguarding, Safety and Security, Data Protection, Financial management, and all designs must follow SC’s branding requirements (see attached), especially:

  • Include the logo of SC
  • Use SC’s fonts, branding colors & other signature decorative elements

3. Experience and skill set required

The consultant/agency is expected to have the following qualifications:

  • Have a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or other relevant fields
  • Good skills with design & editing software
  • Have previous experience with designing brand promotional items 
  • Have experience working with INGOs or development sectors is an advantage
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is desirable.

4. Application package

The application should include:

  • CV/portfolio of the consultant(s)
  • At least 02 examples of relevant works done by the consultant(s)
  • Technical proposal for the package’s art direction (no more than 01 page)
  • Financial proposal
