CONSULTANCY SERVICE: “Consultant(s) to carry out a gender assessment to develop comprehensive strategies and actions to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment under the project “Improved social protection and decent work for female farmers and laborers in the shrimp and rice value chains in Vietnam”
Oxfam in Vietnam is currently seeking qualified national consultant(s) to carry out a gender audit to develop comprehensive strategies and actions to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment under the project “Improved social protection and decent work for female farmers and laborers in the shrimp and rice value chains in Vietnam”
The consultancy will focus on identifying gaps, barriers, and opportunities to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment; assessing how well current project strategies, activities, and resources integrate gender and deliver results; and evaluating the capacity of stakeholders and women’s leadership at the community level in advancing the project’s objectives. Additionally, the mission will also identify key gaps, challenges, strengths, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations. The consultant(s) will support Oxfam and project partners (VNFU, VCCI-HCM) in improving the quality and equity of female participation and benefit-sharing in social protection, occupational safety and health, and decent work for targeted female farmers and laborers in the project provinces (Soc Trang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu, An Giang, Kien Giang, and Can Tho/Ho Chi Minh City).
