Oxfam in Vietnam is currently seeking qualified national consultant(s)/ consultancy firm to conduct a climate vulnerability and environment analysis to develop an environment action plan for the project implementation phase. The overall objective of this assignment is to deliver a climate vulnerability and environment analysis that is gender-sensitive for the Gorice project in the Mekong Delta. This analysis will support the project and related stakeholders in developing an inclusive environment action plan for the project implementation phase, ensuring that the diverse needs, roles, and capacities of women, men, and vulnerable groups are considered in climate adaptation and sustainable rice production.
Specific Objectives:
- To identify and analyze the potential impacts of climate change on rice production in the project area, with attention to how these impacts may differ by gender and social group. The assessment will provide a comprehensive understanding of the vulnerabilities and risks associated with climate change, informing equitable adaptation planning and decision-making for sustainable rice production.
- To identify and assess the current environmental impacts relating to rice production in the project area.
- To identify the positive environmental impacts of climate-smart and other sustainable rice production practices in the project area, and examine how these practices can benefit farmers, especially female farmers.
- To develop a gender-responsive environment action plan for the Gorice project that will be implemented during the implementation phase.
