Consulting/Consultant Group Training Program; WE CHECK Application Development and Upgrade Service Provider

Center for Development and Integration (CDI) is a Vietnamese NGO, a non-profit organization under the Asia-Pacific Economic Center (VAPEC), certified for operation registration in August 2005 according to Certificate No. A - 399 of the Ministry of Science and Technology. CDI works for the rights of disadvantaged groups to build a society of equity, solidarity, and sustainable development.

Among CDI's operational works, Labor Rights is one of the priority focuses and has been implemented by CDI since 2010. The initial activities of the Labor Rights were communication and capacity building for workers at the workplace hostels on legal knowledge, life skills, and labor law consultancy for migrant workers working in industrial zones in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Dong Nai, and Vinh Phuc. In the next phase, along with the mentioned activities, improving living conditions, accessing social security, and the working environment of employees also are concentrated on by CDI.

CDI is currently recruiting for the following two positions:

1. Consulting/consultant group training program

Job description:

  • Suggest the framework of the overall training program on dialogue in the workplace and the program to promote gender equality and gender-sensitive leadership in the workplace.
  • Build documents:
    • Dialogue at the workspace
    • Gender equality and gender-sensitive leadership in textile enterprises for trainers and trainees
  • Training:
    • Overview of dialogue in the workplace for textile enterprises in the North, Central, and South;
    • Intensive training and skills training on communication in the workplace
    • Gender training in the workplace
    • Guidance on leadership skills in the workplace
    • Conduct training as planned, content agreed with CDI and Trade Union.
    • Develop training materials
    • Evaluation after training
    • Prepare training report in Vietnamese. The report of no more than 15 pages in length (including appendices) must be sent to CDI within 10 days from the end of the training.

Minimum requirements:

  • Expertise with at least five years of experience on a relevant topic (employees rights, responsible business practices of enterprises, gender in the workplace)
  • Experience in working/collaborating with enterprises and trade unions on dialogue at work
  • Understanding the context of the domestic textile industry and workers' rights
  • Skills in developing training programs and implementing training programs

2. WE CHECK Application development and upgrade service provider

Job description:

  • Thoroughly study the description of the idea of ????upgrading the application, discuss with the application team of CDI to fully understand the purpose, users, and expectations about tthe application's structure, and features...;
  • Research and propose new ideas to develop and upgrade the application to meet the requirements set forth, ensuring the application meets the needs of users and the expectations of stakeholders. (See the brief description in the attached file);
  • Develop new features arising in the contract period according to the needs of employees and CDI after discussing and agreeing between the two parties (if any);
  • Make sure the application works stably during and after the upgrade;
  • Install the WE CHECK app on the Apple store and update new versions of the app to Android app store and Apple store;
  • Participate and coordinate with CDI to present technical content at app launches and introductions;
  • Develop user and admin user instruction manuals for upgraded content;
  • Participate in app usage review meetings and develop improvement plans;
  • Guide CDI staff to operate, manage and update the application after upgrading;
  • Ensure the plan and schedule are following the agreement with CDI;
  • Technical support, solving arising problems during testing, operation, and application utilization. Have a response to CDI no later than 8 hours after receiving the notice;
  • Handing over all products to CDI;
  • Other arising tasks when required.

Minimum requirements:

  • Have expertise and at least 10 years of experience in programming and developing mobile applications
  • At least 1 mobile application has been built and popularized (can be used at the moment)
  • Experience working with non-governmental organizations or in the field of development, society
  • Interested in and love providing technology solutions to improve the problems of employees working in the electronics, and textile industries
  • Ability to explain and present technical ideas transparently and easy to understand
  • Has a high sense of responsibility, can respond quickly and promptly to any situation
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
