Country Director – Vietnam & Myanmar

Hagar International in Vietnam (Hagar Vietnam) seeks to attract an experienced and talented Vietnamese individual to lead the Hagar Vietnam team as Country Director. The position also provides leadership to Hagar’s partnership-based work in Myanmar.

Reporting to the Hagar International Global Programs Lead and participating in the Group Executive Team you will play an active leadership role in a federated global not-for-profit organisation.

Hagar is an international faith-based organisation with over 28 years of experience working with women and children who are suffering from the impact of trauma resulting from human trafficking, slavery and abuse. Hagar International delivers programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar and the Solomon Islands, and has support offices in 6 locations around the world.

As Country Director, you will have the opportunity to set a strategic direction for Hagar Vietnam, as well as play a key role in leading the development and implementation of high quality, innovative and holistic programmes in Vietnam & Myanmar to support and meet the needs of survivors of human trafficking, slavery and abuse in the country.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Vietnamese international development program leader, with at least 10 years' experience. They will have a proven track record of driving, motivating and developing high functioning teams. They will be comfortable building relationships with partners, donors and other key stakeholders and will be an experienced fundraiser. They will have strong financial literacy and be experienced managing resources within a limited budget.

The position is based in Hanoi.
