Data Manager/Biostatistician

ANRS, the national agency for research on AIDS and viral hepatitis, was set up in France in 1992 to meet the challenges of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. From 1994 onwards, the agency joined forces with resource-limited countries by funding numerous research proposals and then by creating research sites in Africa, Asia, and South America. In 2011 ANRS devoted one-quarter of its budget to research projects on HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis in these countries.

Collaborations between teams of French and Vietnamese researchers began in 1988 and the ANRS site in Vietnam was officially created on 6 January 2000. Most ANRS-funded studies are conducted in Ho Chi Minh City, with support from the Pasteur Institute and the city’s hospitals, in the framework of national (VAAC) and provincial (PAC) programs in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
