Deputy Chief of Party (Re-advertised)

Background

COHED is a Vietnamese non-profit organization working throughout the country to improve the lives of Vietnam’s most vulnerable communities and individuals. The organization is specialized in public health research/intervention, sustainable poverty reduction and climate change response.

Position

COHED is looking for a candidate who is  qualified for the post of  Deputy Chief of Party to implement the project “ USAID Community HIV Link- Northern Coast” in Hai Phong, Nghe An and Quang Ninh provinces.

Scope of work

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assist Chief of Party (COP)  in coordinating work plans and in responding to stakeholder requests for information;
• Liaise with donor, local authorities, other partners and stakeholders for the project implementation.
• Prepare  all  project related reports and documents to USAID and Government of Vietnam  within the framework of the project
• Provide  technical expertise and support to programmatic teams, including identifying and promoting clear communications on issues of programmatic activities, compliance, and documentation
• Other responsibility requested by COP

Qualification Requirements

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in management, development and/or health, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in HIV/AIDS prevention and control, and at least four years of program/project management experience. Previous experience in working with USAID funded program is preferable;
• Strong communication skills and excellent English language.
