Digital Communications Officer
(Based in Hanoi, Vietnam)

We tackle critical issues such as climate change, water resources management, disaster risk management, resilience, renewable energy, environmental assessment, environmental economics, nature-based solutions (NBS), and biodiversity conservation. At ICEM, we believe in integrating environmental considerations with development planning through advanced spatial planning, modelling, socio-economic analysis, and environmental assessment tools.

To further its digital presence and brand, ICEM is now seeking a versatile and Digital Communications Officer to join the team in Hanoi, Vietnam. The ideal candidate will be versed in digital communications and trends and ready to creatively contribute to ICEM’s mission as part of the communications team. The successful candidate will be the direct liaison between teams and be given the opportunity to explore and create external and internal communications materials. The position is for an initial 2-year contract (renewable).

As part of the communications team, the Digital Communications Officer will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Support and initiate the creation and design of external digital communications materials such as project newsletters, banners, cover pages, PowerPoint presentations, etc.;
• Support the team in the elaboration of project case studies, reports, policy briefs, posters, training materials and figures;
• Create content for ICEM’s social media channels (LinkedIn);
• Assist in developing a communications strategy for social media and potential project campaigns;
• Maintaining and updating the ICEM library of photos and other visual materials;
• Support the maintenance of ICEM’s website (project updates, gallery, report uploads, etc.);
• Support and assist the team’s communication requests;
• Ensure ICEM’s brand and integrity.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

• At least a bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field;
• At least 2-5 years of work experience in digital communications, content creation, marketing, visual communications, or related fields;
• Ability to translate complicated concepts into visual format;
• Competence with Wordpress CMS or similar system,
• Competence with Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop);
• Competence with MS Office Suite;
• Experience in using social media platforms;
• Creativity, flexibility and ability to take initiative;
• Exposure to and interest in the fields of environmental management, climate change and conservation of nature;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. The knowledge of Vietnamese or another Asian language would be an asset;
• A keen interest in video and photography would be an asset
