Disability & Social Inclusion Officer

Coffey International Development is a global development consultancy focused on making a difference by improving the lives of world communities. We are managing the AusAID-funded Australia Awards program which is an initiative to provide Vietnam with additional higher learning and leadership capability to be used by graduates to make contributions to priority development areas.
We are seeking expressions of interest from Vietnamese nationals for the potential position of Disability & Social Inclusion Officer to join our dedicated team.
The Disability & Social Inclusion Officer will report to the Deputy Team Leader and will provide administrative and technical support in the implementation of the Program’s Gender, Disability and Social Inclusion Strategy. The position will have key responsibilities in:
· Working with the Deputy Team Leader to provide support to rural disadvantaged and people with disability in completing applications for Australia Awards;
· Organising rural disadvantaged and disability support needs assessments with the applicants/scholars/alumni and AusAID Post and assist with drafting support agreements;
· Coordinating with institutions and other relevant parties (eg goods/ services providers) to ensure the provision of agreed support to the applicant/ scholar; and
· Supporting key team members in the promotion of Australia Awards to local and international organisations working on disability.
Applicants will need to be tertiary qualified and will need to demonstrate previous experience working with people with disability and rural disadvantaged (including rural ethnic minorities) and demonstrate a good understanding of the needs and challenges faced. Experience in office administration functions and strong skills in communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders will be required for success.
