Early Childhood Development Project Officer

The current programme focuses on the following core sectors: Health and Nutrition; HIV/AIDS prevention; Care and support; Education; Child protection; Child-focused emergency preparedness and response; Climate Change adaption Child rights agenda, including Civil society development, Economic opportunities, Child poverty Research, and Advocacy for child-friendly development policy and practice.

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for:

Vacancy: Early Childhood Development Project Officer
Based in Hanoi

Main Responsibilities: Project Officer works under the guidance and supervision of the Education Program Manager and in close coordination with partners to ensure effective, efficient and cost-sensitive operations of the education projects in the assigned geographical locations.

Key Competencies:

Essential

  • University degree in education or social sciences fields
  • Have at least 3-5 years experiences working in the development areas, working with children, especially ethnic minorities ones.
  • Ability to learn quickly and respond to multiple demands
  • Positive attitude to working with children in schools, parents, school and communities leaders,
  • Knowledge of child participation, early childhood development is a plus
  • Excellent project management, communication and capacity building skills
  • Solid understanding of the Vietnamese government system
  • Fluency in English speaking and writing
  • Willing to travel

Desirable

  • Have experience of managing sub-grants
  • Have experiences working with MOET
  • Have experiences in working with education sector, especially on ECD and bilingual education
