AMPERES issupportingour partner, PayGoEnergy1 , to expand their energy business into the Vietnamese market. PayGo is a venture-backed technology company based in Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 2015, their mission is to support the growth of new markets for LPG through digital innovation. PayGo energy believes that, by bringing proven technologies to the LPG industry, we can expand access to clean cooking for millions of households in the developing world.

To explore the potential for PayGo entry into Vietnam, AMPERES is supporting PayGo to undertake a six-month pilot project to test market response to PayGo’s patented technology.

We are looking for a Vietnamese Start-up Coordinator who will be based at our Ho Chi Minh office and will lead delivery of the successful pilot.

Duration of contract:      06 months, with the option for extension
Conditions of contract:   Vietnamese national

Responsibilties

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Pilot setup

  • Coordinate with project lead to collect data on B2B partners’ operation.
  • Provide feedback on the viability of Paygo’s system in Vietnam.
  • Co-create the plan for onboarding new end users quickly and effectively in tandem with paper.
  • Coordinate and ensure smooth importation of hardware.
  • Identify and obtain any regulatory approvals and proactively identify regulatory issue/critical path areas for early resolution.

Pilot operations supervision

  • Directly supervise initial launch of the Pilot. Activities will include (but not limited to) retail shop setup, staff training, and installations in customers’ home.
  • Oversea the Pilot on an ongoing basis to make sure that it is running smoothly.
  • Flag any issues that may raise as the Pilot scale grows.

Partner Management

  • Respond quickly to B2B partner questions and complaints, and ensure they are resolved by the proper team.
  • Maintain a friendly working relationship with B2B partner team and management.
  • Represent and promote PayGo technology and business.

Pilot review

  • Gather feedback from partners (and relevant stakeholders) on products and service.
  • Review Pilot performance dashboard and key result areas with a view to identifying opportunities for improvement based on partner goals.
  • Provide input on a review of Pilot success and failures.
  • Suggest improvements on future Pilot programs.

Candidate Qualifications

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject.

Experience

Previous valuable experience may include:

  • Working in a start-up environment
  • Working in a new business unit within an established company
  • Creating a new service model
  • Creating internal products for a company
  • B2B sales experience
  • B2B or B2B2C product management
  • Experience in the LPG / energy sector

  • Fluency in Japanese preferred
