About the G4AW program

Geodata for Agriculture and Water (G4AW) projects are public-private partnerships with the objective to improve food security in developing countries by using satellite data. Netherlands Space Office (NSO) is executing this programme, commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  For more information, see G4AW program. 

The G4AW GREEN coffee programma in Vietnam is a consortium of partners which will implement a financially sustainable information service that supports 100.000 coffee farmers to increase their production, income, food security and reduces the inputs of water, fertilizer and pesticides. The service will eventually be owned and hosted by the Vietnamese company ERIPT with support from the public-private Dutch and Vietnamese partners. The services can easily be extended for other types of crops and/or implemented to other regions in Indonesia.

Purpose of the job

The finance and admin project is responsible to assist Grants/Finance Officer on grant management of back donors and  Regional Office’s Bookkeeper for maintaining financial, administrative and accounting of the organization related the back donor project of her/his portfolio.

Finance & admin project is responsible for maintaining petty cash of the project, preparing payments for all of vendors, and maintaining accounts payable/account receivables related to project(s) of her/his portfolio.

Responsibilities :

  • assist with the project budget preparation
  • implement financial policy and procedure
  • establish and manage cash control
  • monitor actual expenses of the project against budget and provide variance analysis as required
  • prepare monthly project financial reports and provides assistance in interpreting financial report to project staff
  • check and control purchasing good and services and the payment
  • consult with Finance Manager in Regional office and approval from Program Manager
  • update leave and lieu time
  • prepare, review and file payroll summaries, journals and reports
  • issue records of employment
  • prepare and ensure completeness of finance document
  • Organizing meetings, events, workshops, etc on both administrative and financial arrangements

Qualifications needed

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years experiences in accounting/finance and administration. Previous experience in International NGO is and advantage.
  • Project’s finance/budget experience required
  • Excellent MS excel spread sheet skills required
  • Ability to work well with other, meet deadlines, and respond to changes in priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organisation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skill required
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative set priorities and see project through completion
  • Strong service-focused orientation, must work well and respectfully with field office personnel
  • Proficiency in English and local language is a must.

Terms of Employment

This position is for three years. The ICCO Regional Office South East Asia Terms & Conditions are applicable.
