Finance and Accounting Specialist

The Company and the Project Global Justice Solutions as a subsidiary of Coffey and is a specialist international consultancy and project management company focusing exclusively the police, justice and security sector and its interfaces with communities, governments and non-government agencies. GJS is administrating the Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF).

Justice Initiatives Facilitation Fund (JIFF) is one component of The Justice Partnership Programme (JPP) funded by of the European Commission (EC), Sweden, and Denmark to support justice sector reforms in Vietnam. The JPP will address challenges in strengthening laws and policies by supporting the implementation of the Judicial Reform Strategy (JRS). JIFF is a grant-making programme designed to build the capacity of Vietnamese NGOs to contribute to awareness of rights, access to justice and judicial reforms.

The Position

JIFF is seeking to hire a Vietnamese national to fill the position of Finance and Accounting Specialist under the direction of the Team Leader. The position will be based in the JIFF office in Hanoi with travel to the provinces.

JIFF is seeking an experienced accounting professional with strong experience providing capacity development support to Vietnamese NGOs. JIFF will offer a competitive salary at a level in line with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

- A university degree in financial management and accounting Registered with relevant professional body Relevant professional experience Fluent in English and Vietnamese

- Experience in financial management and administration of grant-making schemes; including screening applications for value-for money and applicants financial systems.

- Experience in working with Institutions in Vietnam's law and justice sector. A demonstrated understanding of the role of NGOs (JIFF NGO partners) in the law and justice sector is an advantage

- Experience in Capacity Building NGOs in the fields of administration, financial management and project management.
