Position: Finance and HR Lead

Length of position: One year, extendable based on performance and funding
Reports to: Finance and HR Manager

Background

The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a trusted advisor to governments worldwide, helping them transform the way they provide health services. Established in Vietnam in 2006, CHAI works with number of departments in the Ministry of Health to help reach national HIV, hepatitis, TB, malaria and vaccination targets. CHAI has emphasized a sustainable and integrative approach to health systems strengthening premised on a close partnership with government to build national capacity so that programs can continue without our support.

CHAI’s team in Vietnam consists of a dynamic core of 18 staff in addition to resources available at the regional and global levels.

Main Responsibilities

The Finance and HR Lead’s primary responsibility is to execute all responsibilities related to financial management, including preparing financial reports, overseeing expensesin the financial system, processing salary, benefits, taxes, compulsory insurance, and other expenses, recruiting and registering staff, maintaining the office registration, and preparing reports to government. The Finance and HR Lead may also assist in performing administrative responsibilities in the office as needed.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting or more than 3 years experience in Accounting
  • 3 years experience with executing the finances at other organizations
  • Native Vietnamese speaker
  • Fluent in English
  • Computer literacy: Fluent in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, and ability to conduct internet research
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and determination to meet deadlines
