Vacancy: Food Security Project Officer
Based in Hanoi
We are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Food Security Project Officer to join our Health and Nutrition team. The successful candidate will be based in Hanoi with frequent travel to Yen Bai province.

Main Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting the project manager in managing the Child Nutrition Project in Yen Bai province, and directly developing and implementing the project action plan to ensure achievement of the project objectives. He/she is also responsible for designing, planning and implementing other projects in Yen Bai in the
future, as assigned.

Key Competencies

• BA degree or higher in agriculture.
• At least three years’ experience working on organic agriculture or rural development area.
• Knowledge and experience on organic agriculture ( having environment protection knowledge is preferable)
• Experience in project facilitation, training, planning, monitoring, and supervision.
• Experience working with government counterparts and the community.
• Solid understanding of the Vietnamese government system at provincial, district and commune levels.
• Good communication skills and team work
• Good English both in verbal and writing
• Good computer skills: MS Office required. Experience in using statistical packages is preferred.
