FSC™ Field Consultant

Please be informed that WWF-Vietnam is seeking for suitable candidate for the position of  FSC™ Field Consultant (based in Quang Tri city, Vietnam)

FSC™ Field Consultant will support the Association of Quang Tri Smallholder Forest Certification Groups (SFCG) on the expanding process of FSC™ certificated forest areas and supporting to establish smallholder groups in Thue Thien Hue and Quang Nam approaching the FSCTM certification. FSC™ Field Consultant will also support forestry smallholders in Quang Tri, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue to approach successfully legal verification by Vietnam law.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in aquatic biology, environmental engineering, natural resources management, environmental or conservation management, preferably  technical fields in charge
• Excellent knowledge in the conservation issues of the strategy in charge
• 15 years of practical experience in working relation with Government, within that at least 5 years as Technical Advisor for a programme or project of the fields related to Policy, Advocacy or WLT Program, 2 years of which should be in the Vietnam
• Proven experience in developing and writing related project proposals to aid agencies, foundations, corporate sector and other individual donors
• Planning, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, training/workshop, community facilitation and presentation skills.
• Excellent skills on field data collection, analysis and recording that supporting to the monitoring and evaluation and reporting of which related to the smallholder forest certification.
• Proactive and team-working; time management.
• Fluency in written and spoken English
