Gender Mainstreaming CONSULTANT

HFHV is looking for a qualified Gender Mainstreaming Consultant  to assist our program team to mainstream Gender into our everyday programming and to provide the staff with training, materials, tools and support in mainstreaming Gender.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gender Mainstreaming Consultant will:

  • Develop a detailed methodology and work plan to strengthen the capacity of Habitat Vietnam in housing and human settlements with a gender lens Understand the situation of the project and how Gender is included currently
  • Assess how gender is being mainstreamed through the project and Habitat Vietnam’s main housing and human settlements programs including disability inclusion, DRR&CCA and the environment consideration.
  • Provide recommendations on how to integrate gender mainstreaming in the housing programs for ethnic minorities and other main programs inclusive of disability inclusion, DRR&CCA and the environment considerations.
  • Design, implement and evaluate the mainstreaming plan including the development of tools
  • Prepare and deliver a training- workshop for all staff and provide training tools and materials
  • Provide final report with recommendations to inform or serve as key reference in the development of Habitat Vietnam’s gender mainstreaming strategy and methods.

We are looking for a consultant with:

  • Previous experience in international development program support and/or management.
  • Strong background in Gender programs and mainstreaming
  • Experience in development programs in Vietnam
  • Experience in conducting trainings and workshops
  • Report writing skills
  • An ability to work as a member of a team and autonomously
  • Strong networking skills to build and manage diverse internal and external partnerships.
  • An ability to think creatively and inspire others
  • A person with an enthusiastic, positive manner who is self-motivated, proactive, and who has an empathy with the Christian ethos and values of Habitat for Humanity.
