BACKGROUND:

Freundeskreis für Internationale Tuberkulosehilfe e.V. (FIT) is a registered non-profit organization working in the field of tuberculosis (TB) prevention and care service delivery, technical assistance, advocacy and research, for additional information please refer to our website: www.tbhelp.org. Currently, FIT and FIT RD are collaborating to implement projects with the common goal of ending TB in Vietnam.

FIT RD is a leading social enterprise based in Vietnam, dedicated to supporting clinical trials and providing preventive and therapeutic services for both infectious and non-communicable diseases. Our primary focus is combating tuberculosis (TB) and enhancing community health through impactful projects and medical interventions.

We collaborate closely with prominent international organizations such as the Gates Foundation, Global Fund, Stop TB Partnership, and UNITAID to implement advanced research and healthcare programs. FIT RD is at the forefront of developing and applying new diagnostic methods and innovative treatments for various diseases, aiming to improve accuracy and effectiveness in patient care.

In partnership with renowned institutions like Karolinska Institutet, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), and the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), FIT RD designs and executes research projects that advance community health. These initiatives expand our understanding of diseases and provide breakthrough solutions for prevention and treatment.

As part of our commitment to ending TB by 2035, FIT RD works with the National TB Program to enhance transparency and quality of TB care, particularly within the private healthcare sector. We are dedicated to implementing effective strategies to ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care and to contribute to the global fight against TB.

With a clear vision and strong mission, FIT RD is committed to improving community health. Due to the development needs, FIT is looking for 01 General Accountant with appropriate qualifications and experience for joint projects and implemented by FIT RD. The selected candidate will work in Hanoi for 3 – 6 months before moving to work in the office in Ho Chi Minh City.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Disburses payments and recording data entries for income and expenditures; verifying documentation;

• Charges expenses to accounts and projects by analyzing invoice/expense claims; recording entries;
• Verify transactions; examine, contrast, and reconcile detailed and general accounting data.
• Accounting for cost allocations and depreciation deductions
• Prepare AR and AP accounting entries by compiling and analyzing account information;
• Collaborate with the human resources department to review and account salary expenses, insurance, personal income tax, and additional employee benefits;
• Execute transfer and allocation entries; analyze the data and compile detailed statistics on those allocations
• Prepare regular reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis such as financial statements, tax declaration forms..., and other internal reports as needed
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and entering account transactions; and files the accounting vouchers and documents according to organization’s policies and donor’s requirements.
• Ensure compliance and quality control of financial systems and all transactions according to company policies;
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
• Provide guidance on managing and executing accounting operations for other departments and provide training to other accountants
• Ensure timely updates of new policies and regulations on tax laws related to the company's operations
• Other work assigned by the immediate supervisor or the Management Team, as and when necessary;

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field;
• At least 1-3 years of experience working as general accountant in a corporate sector or equivalent position;
• Experience in accounting software;
• Detail oriented with exacting standards to maintain accuracy and impartiality in all work products;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is an advantage;
• Ability to balance numerous tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines;
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Good attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work well individually as well as in teams.
