Girls Foster Home Program Coordinator at HSCV

Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) is seeking a Vietnam National to fill the position as Girls Foster Home Program Coordinator in Tay Ho, Ha Noi.

Job summary:  The GFH coordinator will support the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Foster Home. The coordinator will also assist with fundraising activities and developing grant proposals.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Oversee the daily and long-term management of the Girls Foster Home (GFH) in accordance to the organizational guidelines. This includes
    • Supervise 3 GFH staff; ensure the collaboration among staff and the smooth operation of the foster home
    • Support the staff to resolve problems if any
    • Ensure staff development via coaching and other team building activities
  • Work with volunteers/interns to strengthen staff capacity and improve the GFH operation
  • Liaise with governmental authorities, and partner organizations
  • Receive visitors and donor reporting
  • Manage the house finances within a set budget.

The GFH coordinator will report directly to the Country Director and President and will assist the Country Director with the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Foster Home. The coordinator will also assist with fundraising activities and developing grant proposals.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Social work, Development, Management, Public health, Education or Communications or related field
  • Two years of managerial and/or consulting experience
  • Experience working within the field of Social Work
  • Experience working with NGOs, or other Non-profit organizations
  • Financial & strategic-planning skills and experience
  • Human resources management skills and experience
  • High Proficiency in English

  • Strong computer skills: MS Office, internet and ability to learn new programs
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Strong team work skills; conflict and problem solving skills
  • Strongcommunication & training skills
  • Experience working within Western managed organizations

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary based on qualifications and previous experience

  • Normal working hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm with lunch and breaks
  • Some weekend work is required
  • National Holidays off as well as 12 personal days in the first year, 22 personal days every year after
