Green Economy Technical Advisor; Forest Coordinator; Finance Officer

The Greater Mekong region is one of the biologically richest places on the planet; its varied natural resources support the livelihoods and well-being of millions of people in mainland Southeast Asia. WWF-Greater Mekong – on the ground in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam – is working to conserve the region’s biodiversity and build a secure and sustainable future for people and wildlife.

WWF-Greater Mekong is seeking to recruit well-qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

1.Green Economy Technical Advisor (based in Lao PDR, Cambodia or Vietnam)
The Green Economy (GE) Technical Advisor will lead the development, coordination, and implementation of WWF-Greater Mekong’s green economy strategic initiative and ensure that it contributes to delivery of key objectives of the WWF-Greater Mekong Strategic Plan. The GE Technical Advisor is also responsible for ensuring WWF-Greater Mekong’s preparation and engagement in the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development is strategic and supports the aspirations of the region’s citizens and leaders.

2.Forest Coordinator (based in Vientiane, Lao PDR)
The Forest Coordinator provides strategic oversight and technical guidance to all Greater Mekong production forest-related (e.g. timber and forest fiber work) and restoration projects and initiatives. The Forest Coordinator manages all network and external funding streams for this work and actively develops these themes by identifying and facilitating strategic partnerships and funding opportunities. The Forest Coordinator is the senior technical advisor for the WWF-Greater Mekong’s engagement with the WWF-led Global Forest and Trade Network and provides strategic and technical advice to the regional Sustainable Rattan Production Programme.

3.Finance Officer (based in Hanoi, Vietnam)
The Finance Officer is responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting process of WWF-Greater Mekong office including the consolidation from all country offices and at the regional itself. The Finance Officer is also responsible for the quarterly consolidation reports to WWF International and financial reports to donors for regional projects. The Finance Officer assists the Finance Director in ensuring the compliance of finance and accounting systems, policies and procedures from WWF-Greater Mekong, WWF International and donors.
